Keynote Presentation by Jim Comer
Following his father’s massive stroke and his mother’s dementia diagnosis, Jim became an overnight caregiver. The only surviving child, he quit his job in California and moved back to Texas to help his parents. While everyone looked at him as “the man with all the answers,” he soon realized that he didn’t even know the questions. In fourteen years of caregiving, Jim lived the questions, learned the answers and has shared them with audiences across America.
JIM HAS PRESENTED AT:
Based on Jim Comer's Book
"When Roles Reverse: A Guide to Parenting Your Parents"
Jim’s talk is positive, entertaining, and full of insights on issues that will face every family:
With laugh-out-loud humor, Jim deals with moments for which there is no preparation:
Through it all, Jim kept his wits – and his wit – and forged a deeper, more intimate relationship with his parents and found that “patience is the currency of love.”
