How To Survive Caregiving With Sanity & A Sense Of Humor
Keynote Presentation by Jim Comer
Following his father’s massive stroke and his mother’s dementia diagnosis, Jim became an overnight caregiver. The only surviving child, he quit his job in California and moved back to Texas to help his parents. While everyone looked at him as “the man with all the answers,” he soon realized that he didn’t even know the questions. In fourteen years of caregiving, Jim lived the questions, learned the answers and has shared them with audiences across America.
JIM HAS PRESENTED AT:
Based on Jim Comer's Book
"When Roles Reverse: A Guide to Parenting Your Parents"

Jim’s talk is positive, entertaining, and full of insights on issues that will face every family:
- Having candid conversations with your parents as they age before there is a crisis.
- Making sure they have their important documents: wills, powers of attorney, and end of life decisions in writing
- Knowing which siblings will show up for caregiving and which will be missing in action
- Learning how to choose a first-rate long-term care community and monitor its services
